The Importance of a Dream (small detour)
Let me start first why i add “small detour”, i was doing research on the importance of having a dream to help you move forward and changing your life when i came across this website of Dreams For Kids and got inspire to write about, because is so important especially when you are growing up to have positive images to focus on, because what we focus is what we attract and eventually turn our life into.
This is what they do (this from their site):
“Dreams For Kids empowers at-risk youth and those with disabilities through dynamic leadership programs and life-changing activities that inspires them to fearlessly pursue their dreams and compassionately change the world.”
i find this extremely interesting and exciting because think of the change in their life these kids will experience and finally how different their life are going to end just because they change the image of what they can become by changing whom they can emulate after.

Thanks for the mention Carlos! And thankful for the detour. I am the founder of Dreams for Kids. The Blackhawks made it all possible. They have funded Extreme Recess for 12 years after giving us the first grant to help bring adaptive sports to Chicago for kids with disabilities for the first time.
Two years ago they signed an historic partnership with us. Because of them we have been able to expand across the United States and into Canada bring the first of its kind social entrepreneurship based service learning and leadership program for at-risk youth, who are helping others and building their dream lives.
